Daniel Okoduwa is a Sydney based African-Australian film director, producer, actor and screenwriter.
Daniel is from a Nigerian background and has produced three films that have received excellent review in the media, including “Gossip Nation”, “Deaths a Diamond” and “Survive and Die”.
‘Gossip Nation’, earned Daniel an award for the best emerging film producer at THE SPA AWARDS (Screen Producers of Australia) in 2012 and this gave him an opportunity to travel to the AFM in the US where he was exposed to Hollywood way of thinking and writing films.
After returning from US, Daniel began writing Survive or Die in 2015 and worked with his friend Mike Kang to help bring the story to reality. Upon release, Survive or Die received excellent review and Daniel has continued to make inroads into the film industry in Australia and internationally.
Daniel also organises the African-Australian Music and Movie Awards (AAMMA) , which celebrates African Australians in the Entertainment, Fashion and Modelling Industry. Through his work Daniel is committed to ensuring that all peoples of African descent are also celebrated irrespective of their geographical locations, including friends of Africa.
Daniel is quite an influential figure in the Sydney area and continues to attract attention through his work in the film industry and entertainment industries, as well as his contribution for the betterment of the African-Australian community in Australia, in general.
