Galila founded the The Islamic Women’s Association of Queensland (IWAQ) to assist muslim women and families. She is passionate about educating, informing and supporting Islamic women with are struggling with many issues to settle in Australia.
Galila is a lifelong advocate for women’s rights, both inside and beyond the mosque. She is well respected in the community for her tireless community work and outspoken opinions
Aunty Galila, as she is known, is currently campaigning for better facilities for moslem the women in Brisbane.
